Change can be stressful, even when it's positive. Relocation brings a unique mix of physical and mental change, including acclimating to a new climate, meeting new people, and exploring new places. As if all of this change weren't stressful enough, imagine doing it in a place where you don't speak the language and you don't understand the cultural norms. Now you understand how your newly moved pet feels! With some forethought and planning, moving doesn't have to be a frustrating experience for you or your pet. Here are a few tips to make the transition easier: Establish a Routine: The easiest way to raise your pet's confidence in a new home environment is to establish a daily routine. Try to adhere to a regular feeding, bathroom, play schedule. Set Clear Expectations: If you don't want your pet on the new sofa next week, then don't let him up there today. Setting clear expectations in your new home will raise your pet's confidence and promote positive behavior. Have Fun: Playing is an excellent way to relieve stress for most pets and owners. Provide Distractions: Toys and chews are excellent ways to distract your pet from anxiety and boredom. Use a Crate: Crating your pet in a wire or plastic travel crate can be a good way to lower anxiety levels and prevent destructive behavior.
Providing a stable home environment and outlet for your pet's anxieties are reliable ways to promote the calm, self-assured behavior that most owners desire.
Motor Vehicle Registration
A message from the State of Texas: It may look like a little thing, but your vehicle registration sticker does great things for Texans. The fee you pay each year to register helps to build and maintain our highways, roads and bridges. Plus, a portion of your fee goes to work in your own county. So, Check the date, love your state™ and keep that sticker current! And if you’re new to Texas, remember, you must register your vehicle within 30 days. Learn more at www.texasinyourcorner.com or call 512-465-7611. Be a Registered Texan™ and stick up for the Lone Star State!Prior to first-time registration (and annually thereafter), vehicles must pass inspection at an authorized service station or garage. An inspection sticker, certificate of title, proof of sales tax (if purchased outside of Texas) and proof of insurance are required to obtain a license plate.
